Nicolette Brinklaus is a Dutch designers whos collection ‘cycle of life’ was inspired by memories of the past and the way all objects surrounding us have their own cycle of life. She have used many images to create an interesting line of interior products, some of them can be seen in these photos from her own house. Photos:Bloesem October 21, 2010 @ 9:33 pm
The house is own by the architect Kasper Rønn behind the design studio Norm CPH and his wife Julie von Lotzbeck. The style is very much like other houses by Norm CPH. Rustic, minimalistic, black, white and wood. Beautiful! Photos: Andreas Mikkel Hansen for Bo Bedre October 10, 2010 @ 8:49 pm
The loft owned by Isabelle Puech and Benoit Jamin is used both as their residence and studio. The decor is a mix of vintage style and industrial found in antique shops and local bazaars around the world, which makes the place even more curious. By combining these findings and their creations, the couple was able to give a distinct identity, a style unique to the 350 m2 of this loft. Photos:Marie-Claire Maison October 4, 2010 @ 6:13 pm

I stumbled over these beautiful embroidered pillows at NK in Stockholm a few weeks ago and immediately fell in love. Now I also found out who the designer behind them are. Her name is Charlene Mullen and on her website the following can be read about her:
“After an established career in the fashion industry, she has successfully turned her talents to designing luxury embroidered homewares. Since the launch of the studio in September 2008 at 100% Design where she made the best newcomer list, she has won international acclaim having work shown in London, Paris, Milan and New York as well as being featured in leading interior design publications worldwide.
Charlene creates unique embroidered textiles mixing traditional techniques with modern design. Drawing on a wide range of inspiration she makes cushions, blankets and lampshades suitable for residential and commercial projects.”

The loft owned by the swedish author/journalist Mona Kallentoft is situated in the central part of Stockholm and was previously an office for an PR agency. When transforming the apartment they managed to keep the raw industrial feeling and when adding an interior with a lot of design classics mixed with travel finds the end result is really good. I really like this calculator by Alex Hulme, a London based designer passionate about combining the conceptual and industrial sides of product design. |
